Maggie A 2002 graduate of UCLA's School of Law, Maggie McLetchie is an experienced compliance and cannabis business attorney with a diverse legal background. Maggie practiced commercial law in California for five years and then moved to Nevada to work at the ACLU of Nevada. While she was there, the organization was involved in the efforts to create a statutory scheme to allow for medical marijuana businesses. This change was necessary to allow Nevada medical marijuana patients to exercise their state constitutional rights to use marijuana as medicine. Maggie later went into private practice in Nevada, where she has put her background and extensive skill set to work for cannabis businesses and investors. She started her work in the field by successfully representing the first dispensary to open in Southern Nevada. That representation included securing licenses and overcoming other regulatory hurdles in an extremely competitive process. Maggie now represents cannabis clients in connection with compliance matters as well as business sales and acquisitions, employment law, and litigation matters.
