Booth Types

There are two main types of booths available: Pipe and Drape or Space Only. The specific configuration varies based on factors such as the number of exposed sides and placement. 

Pipe and Drape booths come with pepper gray carpet, ID signs, an 8' high back drape(s) and, depending on the orientation/specific configuration/placement of your booth, may come with open side(s) or 3' or 8' high drape side(s). 

Space Only (Raw / Custom Build) booths do not come with carpet or drape, unless they back onto another booth. You must appoint an EAC (exhibitor appointed contractor) to build your booth. Flooring is mandatory for all space only booths, this can be laid by your EAC or hired through the show contractor GES. Only approved EACs can be used at the Javits Center, the full list of approved EACs can be found here.

Line-of-Sight

Pipe and Drape in-line (linear) booths are arranged in a continuous row with neighboring exhibitors on both sides and one side open to an aisle.

To maintain clear sight lines between neighboring exhibitors, in-line booths with a 3ft high side drape must comply with the following line of sight regulations:

  • No display, fixture, product, sign, or other item exceeding 4ft (1.22 m) in height may be placed within the front 5ft of the booth.

  • Items exceeding 4ft in height are permitted only within the rear 5ft of the booth.

  • The maximum height of any booth structure or display is 8ft .

  • Displays must be arranged so as not to obstruct the sight lines of neighboring exhibitors.

Food and/or Beverage Sampling Guidelines

The distribution or service of food and beverage from outside vendors is strictly prohibited unless expressly authorized by Cultivated. Any individual or group found in violation of this policy will be required to cease their activation immediately, and may be subject to fines.

Sampling is only permitted by companies who manufacture, process or distribute the items. For further information, see the below links:

Note: Exhibitors preparing or serving food and/or beverages are responsible for contacting the New York City Health Department directly to obtain all required permits and licenses. All permits must be prominently displayed at the location where food and/or beverages are served.
