Vanessa Barker is Founder and CEO of Papillon Bleu, a company specialising in sustainable textiles and ethical fashion production, creating a new future for fabrics with naturally produced products. Pioneering regenerative agriculture in textiles to replenish lives and species, Vanessa grows regenerative cotton in Southern India, in partnership with Raddis cotton and NGO the GVK Society. By working directly with tribal farmers the aim is to support livelihoods with a fully traceable farm to fiber, chemical free value chain. Vanessa has worked in the fashion industry for over 18 years and her obsession with sourcing the most sustainable materials has led to her work in regenerative organic farming. In reducing water consumption, use of harmful chemicals and capturing carbon whilst increasing biodiversity, her mission is to champion the regeneration movement; supporting farmers, greener textiles, buyers and consumers. Papillon Bleu’s goal is to restore the environment, promote natural farming and provide brands with their own roadmap to sustainability.
