This award is here to credit the product that has taken the lead with this year because of its innovation. This is for any company providing a product that they see as an unstoppable force and the basis for thousands of online entrepreneurs’ success.

About Jo Cato

Jo Cato is a highly successful entrepreneur who has launched several businesses globally. She is
founder and CEO of Periwinkle Group, a brand development and integrated marketing/public
relations firm with offices in Las Vegas, Nigeria and New York; iRecruit International, a
recruitment; Cruising Vegas, the only female owned pedicab company in Nevada; and Motion
Outdoor Media, a digital mobile and human billboard company.
Cato is a highly revered transformational leader whose global brand has garnered her great
esteem. She has been recognized numerous times for her innovation, entrepreneurial prowess and
unrivaled ability to catapult business clients to greater heights of success.

Cato further established roots in South Africa, by having Periwinkle named as the official public
relations agency for NBA Africa. She also sits on the African Chamber of Commerce board.
Additionally, Cato is a highly regarded business and public policy strategist who enjoys a vast
range of knowledge and experience that has allowed her to be a guiding force in strategic
initiatives locally and abroad. Her clients span a variety of industries including entertainment,
medical, gaming, hospitality, transportation, politics and education. Recognizing that the heart of
community evolution rests with public policy, Cato is often a key adviser and lobbyist. A former
City of North Las Vegas Planning Commissioner for over a decade, she contributed to the
development of initiatives for North Las Vegas’ mayor, legislators and other figures.

Cato is a sought-after speaker on the topics of personal branding, feminine competencies, values
and their impact on leadership, public policy change, social justice/workforce advocacy, and
diversity. She sits on numerous boards locally and abroad including: Positively Kids, American
Gaming Association, Global Gaming Women, Women in Communication, Las Vegas Black
Historical Society, NAACP Las Vegas Branch, National Association of Women Business
Owners, the city of North Las Vegas Utility and Transportation Advisory Board. She was also
appointed by Governor Brian Sandoval to the Governor’s Workforce Development Board where
she serves as Vice Chairman of the Transportation, Hospitality and Gaming Sector committees.
Cato has also been featured in numerous magazine articles: Las Vegas Review Journal, I
Magazine, Arizona Times, View News Magazine, San Diego Women’s Digest, CNN/HLN, Fox
Business News and is a contributor to various online content sites and blogs.

Cato earned a Bachelor’s in Economics and Journalism from the University of Nevada Las
Vegas, along with a Master’s in Economics from The George Washington University School of
Business and completed courses in the Executive MBA program at Arizona State University. In
addition, she has earned certificates from Cornell University in Revenue Management, Strategic
Economic Development and Marketing.

Cato is the author of Get Noticed: How to Reach and Retain Clients. In her free time, she enjoys
quality time with her family, reading and travel.
