Lilja will share a story of the development of two Icelandic brands and how SagaNatura utilizes a holistic approach comprising several different factors in the development of the brand and products.
About Dr. Lilja Kjalarsdottir, PhD
Dr. Lilja Kjalarsdottir, PhD is the CEO of the Icelandic vertically integrated biotech company SagaNatura. In her role she provides innovation leadership to the R&D, manufacturing and sales and marketing departments. She has a doctorate in biomedical sciences from UTSW in Dallas, TX and attended Duke University for her postdoctoral studies. Before joining SagaNatura, first in the role of COO and later as CEO, Lilja was the Chief Scientific Officer at the chitosan biotechnology company Genis. Lilja has successfully developed and launched multiple nutraceutical products that are all designed to have specific functions, including but not limited to eye health, skin health, cardiovascular health, joint and bone health.
