With the RHA predicting a shortfall of at least 200,000 HGV drivers over the next 5 years, attendees will explore the often overlooked role drivers play in enabling growth for UK industry. At the same time, high-performing logistics operations are key to achieving retail outcomes on price, availability, and sustainability, making the development of future logistics talent critical. To address this challenge, we will discuss how employers and Government need to significantly increase their engagement with programmes to develop future drivers.
